Whereas our legal experts possess specialised knowledge of a particular area or areas of substantive law, our researchers (who we call research specialists) are experts in the art and science of legal research as a discipline in its own right.

Because they know the tools and techniques for researching the law, our specially trained research specialists can handle almost any type of legal problem. They have years of research experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and appropriate personal qualities such as drive and initiative. They also have expert knowledge of the tools of the trade, such as specialised databases, libraries, and other resources.

Because our research specialists are neither barristers nor solicitors, or academic lawyers, we believe we are creating a brand new type of legal professional: full-time, legally qualified researchers who specialise in the art and science of legal research.
